The users registered in Flips are assigned with the following address:
http:// ○○○.flips.jp/ but this part can be changed to your own domain name.
There are two ways to do that, depending on
whether you already have a domain name hosting or not.
(1)
Preparation of the domain.
Please prepare the domain name hosting by yourself.
(2)
Please change the DNS information of the domain.
The
setting is different, depending on the address you are using, for example if it
is http://www.example.com, it depends on whether there is “www” or not. So for
this difference, please look at (A) and (B).
(A)
For customers who have "www" attached (example:
http://www.example.com)
Please set the following DNS information for your
domain.
Subdomain: www
Type: CNAME record
Content:
main-flips-load-balancer-486811805.ap-northeast-1.elb.amazonaws.com
*If you are using a domain service that doesn’t
provide setting of CNAME record, please use the A record and set it as 46.51.247.181.
If you are able to set CNAME record, then please use the setting
as shown above.
Subdomain: www
Type: A record
Contents: 46.51.247.181
(B) For users who do not have the“www”attached (http://www.example.com)
Please set the DNS information of
your domain as follows:
Subdomain:
(blank)
Type: A record
Contents: 46.51.247.181
(3) Go to the “Manage domain” link by clicking on
the “Edit Information” button on the top left side of the editing screen. Select
“Use your own domain” and
after http:// add www.○○○.com like the example addresses above.
If the settings are
correct, when you access http://www.○○○.com, a page
created with Flips will appear.
If you access http://○○○.flips.jp as before the setting you will be transferred to the page above as after the settings.
We are sorry to announce that we do not offer domain management for Flips. If you would like to set up your own custom domain, please contact some of the available domain hosting service company.
After you receive a domain name from such service, you can make the setup as explained in point 1.
