Customizable themes

How to customize themes

The themes added to My theme are like your own design templates which you can customize and use freely within the Flips service. Here we will explain how to make the theme customization.

 

First of all, the theme customization of the themes registered in My theme can be done as follows:

(1) Changing the title or the description of the theme registered in My theme

(2) Changing the thumbnail image of the theme registered in My theme

(3) Edit the theme itself.

 

From these options, the change of the theme content presented in the website can be done with option (3).

 

Edit the theme

By clicking on “Edit top page” or “Edit subpage” in the theme details you can edit the HTML and the CSS of each page.

 

Flips is designed to maintain two themes – one on the top page and another on the all other pages.

From the “Change theme” window you can:

 

・edit the HTML
・edit the CSS
・edit the main image.

 

This requires to have special knowledge in HTML or CSS and Flips has its own rules so it seems a bit difficult. But it will become necessary if you want, for example, to change the layout or the font’s color and size, or make some changes in the default theme.
